Full day tour in Athens and Corinth designed to follow a segment of Apostle Paul’s journey through Greece.  This tour is not only for those with religious interests, it is for anyone that is interested in history.  Apostle Paul traveled through Greece on missionary journeys to preach the Holy Gospel and Jesus’ mission.  He is considered one of the most important figures of he Apostolic Age.  Although Paul never belonged to Jesus’ 12 Disciples cycle, he spread the word of Christianity more than anybody else and for this reason he was named “Equal to the Apostles” and “Apostle of the Nations.”

Our starting point is Athens where we visit the Areos Pagos (Mars Hills) at the foot of the Acropolis.  In pre-classical times (before the 5th century BC), this was the law court of the Athenians.  It is here that Apostle Paul delivered the most dramatic sermon of his missionary career.   We proceed to an area under the slopes of the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, the commercial and political center of the city and where St. Paul held discussions with Greek philosophers.

We continue our journey on the coastal National Highway until we reach the Corinth Canal where we make a short stop.  We arrive to the site of ancient Corinth, first inhabited in the Neolithic period (5000-3000 BC), which flourished as a major Greek city from the 8th century BC.  Corinth played a major role in the missionary work of the Apostle Paul.  Discover the ancient city and the Bema, a public platform where St. Paul was brought for judgment before the Roman governor Gallio under the accusations of contrary teaching (50s AD).   You will also have the opportunity to visit the 6th century BC Temple of Apollo and the Sanctuary of Asclepius, the God of medicine and healing.  Followed with a visit to the Museum of Ancient Corinth where you may view some of the most impressive artifacts.

Our tour concludes with a stop at Kechries, the port from where St. Paul sailed to Ephesus.

At some point during the trip, you will have the opportunity to stop for a relaxed lunch at a traditional tavern.
