Get to know the antiquities of Argolis at the Peloponnese region and some of the most legendary cities in Greek Mythology: monuments and sites of a great civilization at the land where the worship of Gods meets the bravery of men.

We start our full day tour early in the morning and follow the coastal National Highway to the Corinth Canal.  Passing through the narrow land bridge, the Isthmus, we arrive in Ancient Corinth.  Our stop here will give you the chance to see the Corinthian Bema, ruins of the Temple of Apollo, and the Acrocorinth with the Temple of Aphrodite.   Next stop is Ancient Epidaurus, famous for Asclepius, the God of medicine and healing, who was born in this city.  At the main archaeological area, you will find the Sanctuary of Asclepius and the great Theatre, considered as the purest masterpieces of Greek architecture (4^th century BC).  The superb acoustics as well as the very well preserved construction, contributed to the creation of the Epidaurus Festival.

We continue to Nafplio, at a distance of about 28 km, to explore one of the most picturesque cities of Greece, known as the first capital of the newly born Greek state in 1823.  A relaxed lunch break here is highly recommended – with views to the Bourtzi castle located in the middle of the Nafplio harbor.  At the end we will visit Palamidi, the dominating fortress that appears as it is floating over the city.

On our way back towards Athens, approximately after a 25 km drive, we reach our final destination:  Mycenae – the city for which the greatest civilization of Greek history was named after, the Mycenaean Civilization (about 1600 BC to 1100 BC).  Here, you will get a sense of the mythical legends, the majestic palaces and the wealth that the city was famous for.   Start at the Lion Gate, the main entrance to the Bronze Age citadel of the city, surrounded by the massive Cyclopean Wall.   Continue to the tomb of king Agamemnon and finally, visit the museum of Mycenae which will offer a good insight to the culture and thus complete your tour before we start our drive back to Athens.
